Selective breeding
Not all animals of the same species look the same: some are smaller, others are more friendly, or agressive, or tougher, or faster... What if we decided to only breed the animals with these individual traits we want? Maybe their offspring would share the same traits and we could improve our cattle this way, developpng animals specialized into serving our needs and friendlier to us.
