Honor is a value that represents your honor as a ruler. Any dishonorable actions have a negative impact on your honor, which means that your legitimacy will decrease. 1 point of honor increases your legitimacy by 1.
At very low honor, random events can trigger, which have a variety of extremely negative consequences.
Changing Honor[]
Honor can be decreased by:
- Losing control of an occupied territory to rebels (small)
- Losing control of a city, capital, outpost or colony to rebels (very large)
- Breaking some trade deals with other players (5-50 honor)
- Losing control of a claimed territory (2 honor no matter the method: gaining negative administration, conquest, or renouncing the claim with an army)
- Drift towards zero over time (requires positive honor) - Approximately one point every generation.
