In Ymir, certain territories can be parented under another territory. The ensemble of these forms a region.
A region is always composed of one parent territory (called the regional center) and the territories attached to it (called sub-territories or regional territories).
The regional center must have a territorial status that allows for it to control sub-territories. Its status determines its capacity to attach more or less territories under it.
The attached territories must have a territorial status of sub-territory type (usually Countryside), which requires for it to be attached and dependent of a regional center.
Regional territories mechanics[]
- Regional territories can directly use the resources of their regional center for building, without requiring for those to be manually transferred into the sub-territory first. This makes the development of regional territories much more convenient and less time consuming.
- Regional territories can automatically transfer all their productions to their regional center for free, which allows the regional center to conveniently retrieve the production of all its territories. A common setup being the capital city receiving the agricultural productions and exploited natural resources from all its countrysides territories.
